Our Process: Design Through Production
A practical design & manufacturing path to repeat production.
Tektonics brings together industrial design + advanced manufacturing expertise to help clients move their projects toward reliable production.
Depending on the client’s needs, this could mean we get involved early with design for manufacturing (DFM) guidance, support first articles and other production preparation, or work with fully-resolved designs that are ready to manufacture.
Because our designers and machinists work together under one roof, we’re able to anticipate and address design & manufacturing considerations together as projects move toward production. This results in a more efficient path forward, with fewer handoffs between design and manufacturing.

Design & DFM
We’re able to work with clients early in the development process to refine designs for manufacturability, evaluate potential materials and processes, and identify potential production challenges before manufacturing starts.

First Articles & Production Preparation
Before repeat production, we can manufacture first articles to evaluate the part and its production process, confirm requirements, and make any adjustments before moving into a larger production run.

Repeat Production
Once the manufacturing process is established, we support repeat production through CNC machining, CNC routing and other in-house capabilities, with emphasis on consistency, quality and production requirements.
