As a design firm with an adjacent prototyping and manufacturing space, Tektonics is unique—we can test our ideas just steps away from our offices. This allows us to conceptualize, design, create and then quickly refine prototypes until we achieve a quality design that satisfies client requirements, budget and schedule.

We offer a wide range of services, from single-source, turn-key fabrication and prototyping solutions to industrial design and product development to conventional fabrication and manufacturing services. The diversity of our experience allows ideas and solutions to cross-pollinate in our design studios.

At Tektonics, we are industrial designers, artists, blacksmiths, sculptors, and tradesmen, dedicated to crafting unique design solutions. Our fluency in traditional processes combined with our experience using advanced technologies means we consistently and efficiently deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions and products.

Our Work


Industrial Design & Product Development

Tektonics Design Group produces a broad range of work including furniture, sculpture, industrial hardware, signage, displays, product prototypes, and specialty architectural elements.

Our CAD-CAM process entails digital solid modeling and advanced machining for rapid prototyping. Because our design studio is located within our 20,000 square foot manufacturing facility we are able to efficiently develop our concepts into products in real time. We test these proofs of concept against real world techniques, budgets, and schedules to ensure realization, and offer traditional and advanced manufacturing capabilities to help bring the product to market for our clientele.

Our passion for design and deep interest in fabrication methods have spawned several product lines of our own.


Machining & Manufacturing

Our CNC machine shop is capable of large and small runs of machined parts as well as prototypes.

Our full service fabrication shop provides forming, welding, and finishing of metal. Our woodshop gives us the ability to deliver formwork, milling, shaping, and veneering, and create custom cabinetry, casework, and furniture. Combining our advanced manufacturing technologies with traditional craft, our team can produce anything from precision-machined hardware to sculptural works created with a handcrafted touch.

Through a close partnership with OK Foundry, a local family-owned business, we have access to the cost efficiencies of the casting process. We design and build patterns (foundry tooling) and provide machining services to the foundry, which in turn has informed our own product development.


Machinery

At Tektonics, we don’t define ourselves as fabricators. Fabrication is an important capability, but we offer more than the production and assembly of parts. We solve manufacturing challenges and create value for our clients through bespoke consultation and manufacturing. Our expertise with a variety of materials and processes means we have the deep knowledge of how to engineer and deliver creative and cost-effective results. Our in-house machine shop allows us to be the bridge between concept development and production solutions, both for ourselves and our clients. We are here to help you develop your product and then produce it in volume.
